IMPORTANT

The Embassy of Brazil requires an average of five (5) working days to process visas and other acts, upon receiving the complete documentation. Extra time may be needed in some circumstances.

Following the general practice, the Embassy of Brazil only issues visas on passports valid for more than six months.

Moreover, the minimum validity of 6 (six) months is required to enable the bearer to apply for an extension of stay if necessary.

Applications for visa extensions may be lodged at any Federal Police Office in Brazil (there is always one at most airports).

A VISA IS NOT AN APPLICANT'S RIGHT AND MAY NOT BE GRANTED.

A VISA DOES NOT GUARANTEE BY ITSELF THE RIGHT OF ENTRY OR SOJOURN IN ANY COUNTRY AND MAY BE CANCELLED AT THE IMMIGRATION AUTHORITIES' DISCRETION.
