WORLD CUP HIGHLIGHTS

12/5 – Brazilian team composition announced: Ronaldinho and Adriano not present.

Brazilian coach Dunga presented the list of the 23 players called to compose the Brazilian football team for the World Cup, starting 11 June in South Africa.

This provisional list should be confirmed or modified until the deadline of . .. May.

Most of these players are familiar to the Malaysian public, because they play in the European League.

Goalkepers: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (A S Roma), Heurelho Gomes (Tottenham)

Defenders: Luisão (Benfica), Lucio (Inter Milan), Juan (AS Roma),Thiago Silva ( AC Milan), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Maicon (Inter Milan), Michel Bastos (Lyon), Gilberto (Cruzeiro)

Midfielders: Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Josué (Wolfsburg), Elano (Galatasaray), Kaka (Real Madrid), Ramires (Benfica), Felipe Melo (Juventus), Julio Baptista (AS Roma), Kleberson (Flamengo)

Forwards: Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), Nilmar (Villarreal), Grafite (Wolfsburg), Robinho (Santos)

There is a second list, composed by 7 athletes who could replace those named as a first choice, depending on the latter’s health condition or performance during the trainings to come.
